Most ships and pieces of gear that are available at AI stations also come in "plus" variations. These are 10% better in almost every way when compared to their normal versions, but come at a cost that is ten times normal price.
"Plus" gear can only be bought in the Free Market, with the exception of some rare ships available for purchase in the Emperor's Club in Sol. It has also been reported that several + items are available in other places such as Liberty.
