The Asteroid Freighter is obtained in Arena Lobby at the orbiting base "Metal Processing, Inc." after completing the Arena Lobby Missions, whereupon it becomes available as a trade-in for 75 Mining Tokens.

Despite its bizarre and unwieldy appearance, the Asteroid Freighter boasts the most hull space of any ship its tech level, although its slow speed and few augmenter slots prevent it from being too effective in battle. It also does not display the pilot's name.

You can sometimes find the AI version, the Asteroid Shipper, roaming near asteroid belts in Warp 2 or inner Warp 3 galaxies.
