Getting & Using Allied Commendations

Once you have the boss kill for a given skill and if you don’t win the roll for the skill commod you can complete some missions to get one by yourself! Here’s how: Go to the Allied Staging Sector, dock at the Paxian base to get the mission for the commod, which requires Allied Commendations. Go to the EF base, get both missions -- they each give you a random item that unlocks one of several possible missions.

Missions

Weekly Mission -- “Invasion Sortie” You get one of four missions to kill 5 tier 1 and tier 2 Aveksaka. You need to kill 1 of each hull class of each tier to complete these missions.

In all cases, the easiest way to kill the tier 1’s is with the method for DNA Gathering. Tier 2’s you can find roaming with some minor difficulty. Always look in Pajca Space, although you can also find them in Sas Space. Don’t look in the lower level arms. They can also be farmed by finding the appropriate mini-bosses that spawn, which is better if you can tank a lot because these do not have the same despawn time restriction.

Notes

Commendations are neurobound, but the commods you get with them are not! These have a 5 hour half-life so don't go and get it before you have the mission kill!!! All missions can be completed with help, but you should be in a squad with the mission bearer as squad lead. Instance spawns will not spawn if squad leader isn’t the one with the mission and kills split outside of squad will often not grant the kill to the mission bearer. It is possible that these missions won't give you a commod for the next mission. Something like 1/4 chance both at “Sortie” and then when you go to get the specific mission from the given faction.
